In many ways I think librarians have more to learn by playing with and sharing rich media like images, video & music than we do from e-readers right now.
The sharing bit is important because it teaches us about CC licenses and all the possibilities there. (We are connecting effectively by sharing these images with each other.)
Tagging (including location and people data) helps us learn about search, from the other side.
Using Titles and Description fields (properly) is like cataloguing, but without all the strictures we know too well.
